Works really well when there is no wind. There is a hole that you could put a plastic screw to tighten it like with the dry bin but it doesn't come with one.

This thing is awesome - it held my umbrella even when the wind picked up and tried to take it away from me. It was awesome sitting in a beach chair by the cooler in the shade. My friends were jealous and kept trying to steal my shade. Umbrella holder for the win!
