Our first experience using our new RovR ice chest was on a weekend trip to Zion. It was warm during the day and cool at night. Absolutely no problem with the ice retention. I loved the separate compartments for dry storage, that was one of the deciding factors on this purchase. The ice chest also has several places where you can tether it securely. This kept it from moving in the back of the truck, but it also let us leave it in the back of the truck without worry of it being stolen. We just put a bike lock on it. The wheels are fantastic, so beefy. but what I’m really in love with is the color. We got the yellow, with the coordinating bag on top that looks like a sunset. I love it. The only negative for me is that it is very heavy, and we have stairs leading up to our kitchen. Once it was filled, it took two people to get down the stairs and out the door. Overall, I am 100% happy about this purchase.
Super Excited to get. It was shipped to my parents house so just now getting it and when I put the bag on there was a Velcro strap that was not sewn on and just Velcro so now the bag won’t pull tight cause a corner Velcro was missing.
Hi Sam, sorry, that's not normal! Sending you a replacement :) Thanks! Team RovR
Did some research before investing in this cooler and I couldn’t be happier with it. We easily towed it over 8 miles from the ferry to our cabin on Grand Island. Up and down hills, over rocks and roots it didn’t let us down. We dumped the ice that was left on day 4 to make a lighter return trip. The handle is perfect for my fiancée as he is taller. It was a little tougher for me. I am 5’4” and have to lift up a bit to clear the debris in the path. In the wider areas we were able to pull side by side which was super easy. I am looking forward to using it at the beach as well. The Yeti may never leave the garage again.
After a friend brought a ROVR to beach week I was sold! Placed an order for 2 60s, went home and sold my YETIs and haven’t looked back! The functionality of the ROVR is far superior. The only negative thing I can say is that if you tip the cooler it isn’t completely watertight. Aside from that it is on oar and better than YETI hands down!
We just got to use our brand new RovR 60 on a beach trip and we love it. It rolls very well on FL gulf sugar sand. It never bottomed out on me, like my old wheeled cooler that I basically had to drag on the sand because the wheels sank right in. We were able to load up all of our gear into the bin on top and off we went. I had several people ask me about it, it's a pretty cool set up, and a very well thought out design.
