Enhancement Gone Wrong – Reports of Broken Latches on a Select Run of RovRs
When we first began selling RovR’s to the world we used a sturdy black latch, perfect for holding down the lid and keeping all your cold goods cold. Recently, our manufacturer had an idea to put our logo on the latches, which sounded great! Unfortunately, the new material has shown to be weaker than the originals and a number of our customers are reporting broken latches. – Bummer. Luckily, the issue is confined to only the latches with the RovR logo in white, and we have not heard about any solid black latches breaking.
This one is a bit tricky, but it is absolutely fixable. All of the component parts on the RovR are made to be replaceable.

Then, using the small wire cutters, snap the aluminum pin that held the latch and wiggle the cutters so the head of the pin will pop out. Use the same cutters to grab the other side of the broken pin, and pull it out.
